Franciscan Health Foundation Hosts Songwriter Showcase in Bargersville on September 13
The Franciscan Health Foundation will be hosting a Party with a Purpose event, featuring a Songwriter Showcase on Friday, September 13 at Mallow Run Winery in Bargersville. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m.
Three singer-songwriters from Nashville will perform their original country music. The trio of featured artists have written for industry superstars including: Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, Randy Travis, Jessica Simpson, Trace Adkins, and Brad Paisley.
“We are fortunate to have amazing artists perform at Mallow Run,” said Greg Williamson, executive director, Franciscan Health Foundation Central Indiana. “Ryan Larkins, since appearing at our last two events, has opened for Willie Nelson, wrote a number one hit, and just debuted at the Grand Ole Opry. We put on a terrific show. This really is an amazing entertainment value and attendees help raise money for a great cause.”
The concert is inspired by Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe, regarded as one of the music industry’s preeminent listening rooms. Performing at the Bluebird helped launch the careers of Keith Urban, Vince Gill, and Taylor Swift.
Party with a Purpose brings the Nashville vibe to the Indianapolis area each year by introducing talented writers and musicians behind the polished sounds heard on the radio.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Employee Wellbeing Fund at Franciscan Health Foundation. Most health care workers, at some point during their career, report feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, along with feeling physically and mentally exhausted. The Employee Wellbeing Fund at Franciscan will provide education and resources for improving mental health and avoiding burnout.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on-site the night of the event. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets in advance.
