Franciscan Health Indianapolis Named One of America’s 250 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades for Third Consecutive Year
Franciscan Health Indianapolis has been named one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals for 2025, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the No. 1 site Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital.
Franciscan Health Indianapolis is the only hospital in the state of Indiana to be named to the America’s 250 Best Hospitals list for three consecutive years (2023-2025).
This achievement reflects Franciscan Health Indianapolis’s unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care and puts the organization in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance.
“We are honored and humbled to be recognized by Healthgrades again this year as one of the best 250 hospitals in the country,” said Lori Price, president and CEO for Franciscan Health Central Indiana. “To be the only hospital in the state to receive this recognition, three years in a row, is a true testament to the passion and dedication of our physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses and co-workers. We strive each and every day to provide best-in-class care for our patients, while living our Franciscan values.”
Franciscan Health Indianapolis's achievements are based exclusively on what matters most: patient outcomes. To determine the top hospitals for 2025, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Healthgrades’ annual analysis revealed significant performance gaps between the nation’s highest- and lowest-achieving hospitals, making it increasingly important to seek care at a top-rated facility.
“As one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals, Franciscan Health Indianapolis is elevating the standard for quality care nationwide,” said Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades. “Healthgrades commends Franciscan Health Indianapolis for their ongoing leadership and commitment to providing the best possible care for all patients in Central Indiana.”
