Franklin College Crushes #Griztuesday Goal
Franklin College's annual #GRIZTuesday event on Tuesday, Dec. 3, marked another record-setting 24-hour giving day, with generous donors contributing a remarkable $202,444—surpassing the goal of $178,000 by 14 percent. Proceeds from this event will go directly toward supporting the college’s athletic programs.
“We are so grateful to everyone from each of our constituent groups who stepped up generously to enhance the experience of our student-athletes,” said Franklin College President Kerry Prather. “We are blessed with an amazingly loyal group of alumni, friends and corporate partners who proudly support their Grizzlies.”
“This incredible show of support from our alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, parents, sponsors, and community members is truly inspiring,” said Nora Brems, Franklin College’s vice president for institutional advancement. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this #GRIZTuesday an unforgettable success.”
The college leveraged a variety of communication platforms, including social media and college-owned channels, to promote #GRIZTuesday and rally support.
Franklin College Vice President Andrew A. Hendricks highlighted the significant impact of #GRIZTuesday on enhancing student-athletes’ college experiences. “At Franklin, academics are at the heart of our mission, but athletics greatly enrich the experience,” Hendricks noted. “The generosity of our donors helps our student-athletes strive for high achievement and access unique leadership and teamwork opportunities, ensuring a well-rounded education.”
This year, Miller Transportation served as the primary sponsor for #GRIZTuesday, with additional lead support from Elwood Staffing.
