Franklin College will host a “Women and Girls in STEM” event, an engaging and interactive experience designed to inspire female students and educators in middle and high school to explore careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will be held in two locations within the College’s Napolitan Student Center: the Johnson Atrium on the first floor and the Branigin Room on the second floor. Parents are encouraged to attend the event with their child.

With women representing just 35% of the STEM workforce, the College is using National Women’s History Month as an opportunity to inspire young women to explore careers in these fields. Participants will have the chance to interact with academic leaders and professionals while engaging in hands-on activities across a variety of disciplines, including accounting, business, chemistry, computing, economics, exercise science, marketing, mathematics, medicine and psychology.

This free event is open to all interested female students considering STEM as a potential career path or simply wishing to explore STEM-related topics. Attendees who register in advance will also be entered to win a special prize. To register, visit https://bit.ly/womengirlsSTEM25.
