Aspire Johnson County plays a central role in advocating for policies that drive economic development and enhance quality of life. As both a chamber of commerce and local economic development organization, Aspire champions initiatives that position Johnson County for long-term success.
Aspire’s legislative priorities for the 2025 session focus on three areas: attracting talent and investment, equitable road funding, and improving childcare accessibility. These and other topics often come up in our Legislation Matters events.
The Aspire Legislation Matters series features six events throughout the year and is an opportunity for our members to hear directly from elected and appointed officials. The events with our statehouse delegation include discussions about public policy issues and specific legislation at the Statehouse. Attendees are invited to submit questions and vote on issues to give elected officials a cue on the local business community’s opinion.
From conversations with site selectors, Aspire understands workforce and infrastructure as critical factors influencing business location decisions. Indiana’s free-market tax climate is a strong asset, but necessary policies can attract high-wage industries like life sciences and technology.
