Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), along with Indiana Members Credit Union, is excited to announce Katelyn Sadlon as the recipient of the Ron Collier Family Collegiate Scholarship Program, receiving a $2,500 scholarship. The Ron Collier Family Collegiate Scholarship Program is available to senior students attending New Palestine High School who are members of Indiana Members Credit Union, intending to study full-time at an accredited college or university. Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through March 31.

Indiana Members Credit Union President and CEO, Ron Collier, donates $2,500 annually to Indiana Members Foundation for the scholarship for a New Palestine High School Senior.

Collier is a long-time resident of New Palestine, and his three children all graduated from New Palestine High School. His oldest daughter, Ashley, is a teacher at Sugar Grove Elementary and her sons attend Sugar Grove. After graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, he went on to teach at Noblesville High School. Collier embraces the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and helped establish Indiana Members Foundation in 2010 exclusively for the purpose of being a positive influence in the community served by Indiana Members Credit Union; specifically, providing school children in the Indianapolis area with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education.

Collier and wife Debbie, have three children and four grandchildren: Ashley (Colin and Connor), Katie and Daniel (Micha and Samuel). He enjoys golf, fishing and cheering on the Colts, Pacers and Cubs.

Collier presented the scholarship to Katelyn Sadlon on Thursday, June 1, 2021, at Indiana Members Credit Union’s headquarters. Katelyn will be attending Ball State University in the fall and plans to study pre-medicine.

Collier stated, “I started my career as a school teacher and understand the importance of a good education. This scholarship allows our family the opportunity to give back to students in our community. I am honored to present this scholarship to Katelyn and help her achieve her financial dream and wish her continued success with her future education.”
