Meet Your Ambassador: Keith Cecil, SlyFox Creative
Meet Aspire Ambassador Keith Cecil with SlyFox Creative! Keith has been an ambassador for 6 years. Here are some things to know about Keith:
- How has being an Ambassador been beneficial to you and/or your company?
Being an Ambassador has allowed me to connect with new members to build new relationships in the Johnson County business community, and also furthering my knowledge of economic development and how our business best fits. - Why did you want to become an Ambassador?
To meet new members to and help them get the most out of their membership and share my experiences to be a resource for them. - Do you have a favorite memory as an Ambassador? Please share.
My favorite memory as an ambassador is going to the coffee connections now, and recalling the first coffee connections with 15 people at a coffee shop that no longer exists that was in the nest building back in 2018, and just seeing how much it has grown and flourished. - What advice do you have for professionals trying to connect with other professionals?
My best advice is that people generally want to help, so don’t be afraid to ask! - What is your favorite networking tip?
My favorite networking tip is to follow up. After you meet someone new at a networking event, it helps to follow up whether it’s connecting via social media or simply sending a quick email. You can thank someone for their time in this message and people generally like to be thanked. - What was your first job?
My first job was teaching tennis to the pee wees when I was 15 years old. - What is something you like to do outside of work? Do you have any hobbies?
Outside of work I enjoy teaching tennis – I am a PTR Certified Tennis Professional, and I enjoy helping out with the Southside Tennis program and CGHS. - What is your favorite vacation and why?
Unfortunately, I am sworn to secrecy for this one. However, I did begrudgingly go on my first cruise a couple of years ago, and we had a fantastic time! I would certainly recommend that experience. - What makes you a raving fan for Aspire?
There are so many things that Aspire does for the business community, and I really like that. For me personally, I enjoy the people. I think the people are what make Aspire, from the staff, to the members, it’s a great group of people to be a part of, knowing that these people care about growing business in Johnson County.
Thank you so much, Keith, for caring for your fellow members and their development with Aspire.
